Instructions
- Sift four
- Resift flour with baking powder, salt, and sugar
- In separate bowl, beat eggs well, add butter/oil and milk, mix.
- In dry ingredients bowl
- Make a hole in center of dry ingredients
- Pour in liquid ingredients
- Combine them with a few swift strokes
- The batter should have a pebble look, similar to muffin batter
- In squeaky clean bowl, beat egg whites until stiff but not dry
- Fold egg whites into the batter until they are barely blended
